Our boat

Desolina is a beautiful 1984 Wauquiez Pretorien. Originally we were looking for a slightly larger boat to live aboard. However we found Desolina to be extremely roomy for her 35ft length, with a large beam and good head room throughout. She is extremely seaworthy and well equipped having previously been sailed single handedly across the Pacific Ocean before we bought her.

She is in very good condition for her age and has a beautiful wooden interior which appealed a lot to me when we were looking at boats to buy. Since moving aboard we have made quite a few alterations and improvements to the living space to make her a more comfortable liveaboard. We're quite enthusiastic cooks so it was important for us to upgrade the stove. We've also installed a hot water tank and heater to make life more convenient.
